The purpose of this two-week series is to introduce and explore the sacraments with children as holy and mysterious practices of our Christian faith. This is designed to use and adapt with children in two 45-minute to 1-hour classes. 

These are simple lesson plans that volunteers can pick up and use and require few supplies. 

I write this out of the Presbyterian tradition that acknowledges two sacraments: Baptism and Communion. In the Presbyterian Church, we baptize infants, children, teens, and adults with a believer’s baptism.  This series is written in an open way that many religious traditions would see fit to use.  The main takeaway for our children in these lessons is that sacraments are visible signs of God’s grace and love for us. You are so loved and you belong in God’s family.
