About this unit
This early elementary grade unit study will help your children to learn about Saint Patrick of Ireland and how we still celebrate him today. You and your child(ren) or students will learn about St. Patrick, the legend surrounding his life, a few different ways to celebrate his feast day, and much more.
I have suggested several books for your studies. You can also find many educational videos and resources out there for free. I highly suggest the Veggie tales St. Patricks day video found on Youtube.
Along with the worksheets provided, I’ve suggested a few projects, such as making a Trinity craft, a St. Patrick puppet, a blessing, a sensory bin, playdough mat, some vocabulary words, copy work and a letter P page depending on the needs of your learner.
It will take about a week to complete this unit – but it can easily be stretched into 2 or 3 weeks of you would like to keep your learning going or you could condense this down into fewer days. You could also use parts of this as a Children’s Chapel or Children’s Church lesson as I have done in the past
