In
a world full of bigger and brighter and MORE, Christ calls us to wait and to
wonder: When will we have enough? What does it mean to hope?

In
this moment, let us be honest with ourselves and with God, because we don’t
have all the answers.

Prayer
of Confession

God
of our waking and our dreaming, we find ourselves exhausted by the needs of the
world. With eyes made heavy by the glitz of the season, we stumble through our
days from one task to the next, asleep to the simple glory that surrounds us.

Hold
the truth of our misguided attempts to prepare and fix and make everything “perfect.”
Awaken us to holy light kindling beneath the surface of our everyday. Amen.

Assurance
of Grace

of God, there is nothing you can do to stop the truth:

Christ
is coming. Soon! And the world will never be the same.
