The 6 weeks cover:

Disciple – Most kids have probably heard this word, but how does it apply to them? In this message, we define the term disciple, think about where we’ve heard it in the Bible, and how each of us are always growing as we learn how to be disciples too, with God’s help.

Amen – We say this word all the time without really knowing why. Using a playful word game, we define the term amen, think about common prayers and songs that end with amen, and substitute the definition into those phrases. This message will help kids grow in their understanding of what “amen” literally and spiritually means.

Transformed – After defining the term, this message helps kids think about how God longs to transform the world. It reminds them of the promise that each of us and the world are never stuck the way they are because God is always doing the work of transforming.

Generosity – Looking for a fresh take on talking stewardship with kids? This message helps kids understand that generosity involves both caring about others and being willing to do something to help them. It frames generosity as a part of how God made them and as an action that they can practice over and over again as they grow.

Heaven – What is heaven and what does it mean for our faith if we can broaden our thoughts of heaven? This message explores the idea that heaven is not a specific place (an important seed to plant in kid’s literal minds.) It helps kids wonder instead about heaven as the presence of God, not something far away but always with them.

Hallowed – Let’s incorporate a holy practice for a holy word! This message defines the word, presents some phrases that use the word, and then guides the kids through some meditative moments. The short silences are designed to help kids explore the literal and spiritual meaning of the word.
